The LPS® PP Series is a reliable surge protective device specially designed for the 110 V DC power supply and PA equipment using the 100 V line systems.

Following extensive R&D, the PP Series has been created deploying state-of-the-art engineering technology. This Malaysian-made device is designed with high surge capacity to suit even the most lightning prone regions in the world.

How it works

The LPS® PP Series device is cost-effective and deploys multi-stage protection with MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) for primary defence. It is then linked by a second-stage surge attenuate component and finally to a MOV to provide unsurpassed performance in lightning surge protection. When surges occur, the device will switch to a fully conductive state and divert current, after which it will reset automatically.

However, under excessive surge conditions, the LPS® PP-2/110 will fail in shorted mode to earth, securing the protection of the equipment.

For effective protection, this device should be installed at both ends of a cable, especially when connecting equipment are located more than 30 metres away, in adjacent buildings or outdoors.
